Meet Jedi J

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away . . .

Ten simple words that when strung together have introduced us to, arguably, the most recognizable heroes and villains. It's a story that has been told many different ways, so why does it stand out like no other story I have heard, read, or seen?

For me, Star Wars is not just a movie, it is a daily occurrence. In my world, Chewbacca is not just a Wookie and Wickett is not only an Ewok. They are my my floppy-eared dogs. Leia is my turtle. The Millennium Falcon takes flight under my rear-view mirror and is the backdrop for my Yahoo avatar (which is dressed in Jedi robes). My first born daughter bears the name of a Jedi (my second born was named by my husband, but had she been a boy, then he would have a Jedi name, too). Every morning when I drop off my girls at my mother's house, I leave my mother with these words, "May the Force be with you" (she is caring for 3 children, after all).

I look forward to posting more on this blog, but right now I must go. My young Padawan has just glued her homework to her dinner plate and the baby is hungry.
