One Week Countdown: Day 5

Five fabulous days, folks (say it five times fast).

My #5 favorite HP moment is...

Our first look at the BURROW!

Ron: "It's not much, but it's home."
Harry: "I think it's brilliant."

And wouldn't you know it, the Burrow has it's own Wiki entry, where you'll learn it's on the outskirts of a little village called Ottery-Saint Catchpole (Hermione's Patronus is an otter. Is there a connection?), and it's architecture is nothing short of magical, with rooms popping up here and there and impossibly held together.

More importantly, it's the only home, aside from Hogwart's, that Harry knows. The Burrow is all warmth, fun, and mollycoddling--just what Harry has never had. It makes me so happy to know that these will be his in-laws.

We're winding down now, folks. Jedi J.? Your take?

#5 Now here is where there might be some controversy so I will offer 2 answers. The reason that this might be controversial is because my #5 favorite moment does not come from an actual Harry Potter book. You see, I was not and still am not totally happy with the way DH ends. There was no real transition from the battle at Hogwarts to the train station 19 years later. I wanted just a tad bit more to really wrap things up in my mind. So I had to go looking for a little something to put my mind at ease and what I found was a wonderfully written chapter whose title is "Trio, Disbanded" by crapemyrtle. Here is the site http://www.checkmated.com/story.php?story=10204
The last time I read DH (2 weeks ago), I read this chapter before the final DH chapter and it made sense to me. It felt like the ending that we readers deserved. So to crapemyrtle (wink, wink), thank you for writing a wonderful ending.

Now to the #5 that I have written on my list that I have saved as "Potterlist" on my computer. #5 is Luna. I just love the way she is written and portrayed. She is a bit spacey but she has such insight sometimes. She is loyal beyod a doubt and she is such a positive force. I actually had a student at the academy this past year whose name was Luna and she reminded me so much of Ms. Luna Lovegood that it was like having a little bit of Hogwarts at the Jedi Academy.
